The Vatech Smart Plus SP is an advanced dental imaging system combining panoramic imaging and CBCT in one powerful platform.
Designed to deliver precise diagnostics with minimal workflow disruption, it provides high-resolution 3D imaging alongside automatic panoramic reconstruction from a single scan.
Its innovative anatomical field of view captures a wider area of dentition, ensuring important anatomical details are not missed.
With compressed sensing technology and integrated imaging software, Smart Plus SP supports efficient diagnosis, clearer treatment planning and improved patient communication.
The Smart Plus SP combines CBCT scanning with panoramic imaging, allowing clinicians to capture detailed 3D data and generate an Auto Pano image from a single scan. This reduces the need for multiple exposures while ensuring both views are available for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Both images are displayed within a single viewer, allowing clinicians to analyse 2D and 3D data side by side.
With Smart Plus SP, a single CBCT scan automatically produces both CT and panoramic images. This simplifies workflow and reduces patient exposure by eliminating the need for separate scans.
The combined viewing environment also makes it easier to present images during consultations, helping patients better understand treatment needs and increasing case acceptance.
The system delivers enhanced 5 × 5 imaging with exceptional detail. High-resolution voxel options allow clinicians to capture precise anatomical structures for accurate diagnostics and treatment planning.
The Smart Plus SP features an innovative arch-shaped field of view that provides a wider view of dentition compared with conventional square FOV systems.
Traditional 10 × 8.5 images can occasionally miss teeth that fall outside a single focal layer. The anatomical FOV design captures hidden areas of dentition and improves diagnostic reliability.
Vatech’s compressed sensing technology significantly improves image quality while reducing artefacts and noise. The system reconstructs imaging data through multiple iterative processes, allowing the true structure of the scanned area to be displayed with greater clarity.
The Smart Plus SP can produce an Insight Pan, a multi-layer panoramic image that captures several focal layers in a single panoramic view. Because patient arch shapes vary, standard panoramic images can sometimes miss details outside a single focal layer.
Insight Pan combines these layers into one detailed image, ensuring critical anatomical information is captured.
The system operates with EzDent-i software, which provides an intuitive interface for image viewing, diagnosis and consultation. Clinicians can access both 2D and 3D images within the same environment, simplifying workflow and supporting patient communication.
The integrated tools allow efficient treatment planning and image presentation without requiring multiple software platforms.
