The Shifter Base is a low-profile chair movement system designed to create a more flexible clinical space by allowing a conventional dental chair to be moved when required. By lifting and moving the chair away from its fixed position, it helps make room for wheelchair platforms, recliners, trolleys and other specialist equipment.
Adding only 8mm to the chair working height, the Shifter Base has been designed to maintain dental chair stability while supporting smooth movement across the floor. Low friction ball castors, pneumatic independent suspension and controlled air pressure help protect flooring and support reliable operation.
With a lift capacity in excess of 480kg and approval for use with Takara 050, Belmont, A-dec and UFSK chairs, the Shifter Base provides a practical solution for practices that need adaptable treatment rooms without fixing the chair base to the floor.
