Overview

The EDI Dental Lamp is a precision halogen operating light designed to provide uniform shadow-reduced illumination for dental procedures and clinical environments. Combining ergonomic movement with a smooth easy-clean design, the EDI delivers reliable lighting performance while supporting efficient day-to-day clinical workflow.

Its halogen light source uses a double rear parabolic glass reflector system to create a well-defined illuminated field with consistent light distribution across the treatment area. Adjustable intensity controls, optional proximity sensor activation and flexible mounting configurations allow the EDI to adapt to a wide range of dental surgery setups.

Available with optional 3D movement functionality, the EDI Dental Lamp provides accurate positioning and dependable clinical illumination for modern dental practices.

Description

Uniform Shadow-Reduced Illumination

The EDI Dental Lamp is engineered to provide consistent evenly distributed illumination across the treatment area.

Its halogen light source is diffused through a double rear parabolic glass reflector system designed to minimise shadowing while maintaining a clearly defined light field measuring 145 x 90 mm.

This controlled light distribution supports improved visibility during dental procedures and treatment workflows.

Adjustable Light Intensity

The lamp provides adjustable light intensity to suit varying clinical procedures and user preferences.

Light output can be adjusted using a rear-mounted intensity control cursor positioned on the light head for convenient operation during treatment.

The lighting system delivers illumination levels between 8,000 and 25,000 lux at one metre from the working area.

Ergonomic Movement and Positioning

The EDI features balanced articulated arms designed for smooth precise positioning with minimal effort.

Its overlapping coupling arm system allows the light head to move easily into position while maintaining stable alignment throughout treatment procedures.

The balanced movement system helps clinicians direct light accurately where required without drift or excessive resistance.

Optional 3D Rotation System

The standard system includes balanced 2D rotation across two movement axes for reliable everyday positioning.

An optional 3D movement system adds a third rotational axis, allowing greater positioning flexibility and more precise control over light beam direction during treatment.

This additional flexibility can improve usability within more complex surgery layouts or specialist procedures.

Designed for Hygiene and Easy Cleaning

The EDI Dental Lamp features smooth rounded external surfaces designed to simplify cleaning and support infection control within the surgery environment.

Its removable handles use a quick fastening system allowing fast removal and reinstallation following sterilisation procedures.

The enclosed design also helps maintain a cleaner appearance while reducing exposed areas within the light structure.

Flexible Mounting Configurations

The EDI can be installed across a variety of dental surgery configurations and mounting systems.

Available mounting options include:

  • Ceiling mounted
  • Wall mounted
  • Floor mounted
  • Pole mounted
  • Dental unit mounted

This flexibility allows the light to integrate easily into a wide range of surgery layouts and clinical environments.
