Overview

The Bambi VT150 is a British-built oil-free air compressor with a 50-litre vertical receiver and a 1.5 HP motor. It delivers 125 litres of air per minute at 5 bar, making it suitable for applications requiring greater air capacity than the compact VT75.

The internally coated receiver helps reduce corrosion while the soft-start solenoid valve releases pump pressure when the power is disconnected. This protects the compressor from overload and supports a longer working life.

A dryer, aftercooler and automatic drain are available as options. A bespoke horizontal tank version can also be supplied as part of the Bambi VTH range.

Description

Higher-Capacity Oil-Free Performance

The Bambi VT150 combines a 1.5 HP oil-free pump with a 50-litre vertical air receiver. It provides 125 litres of air per minute at 5 bar operating pressure.

The larger receiver and increased motor power make it suitable for installations requiring more air capacity while retaining the practical features found throughout the Bambi VT range.

Soft-Start Compressor Protection

The VT150 is fitted with a soft-start solenoid valve as standard.

When the power is disconnected, the valve releases pressure held within the pump. This reduces the load during the next start-up cycle, helping prevent overload and extending the service life of the compressor.

Internally Coated Receiver

The 50-litre air receiver has an internal anti-corrosion coating. This reduces the risk of corrosion forming inside the tank and helps protect the quality of the compressed air supply.

The receiver is supported by a five-year warranty while the compressor is covered by a two-year warranty.

Filtration And Moisture Control

A 10-micron filter regulator helps remove particulates and maintain controlled pressure within the compressed air system.

You can specify the VT150 with an optional automatic drain to support moisture removal. A dryer and aftercooler are also available for applications requiring treated compressed air.

When fitted with the appropriate optional dryer, the compressor can form part of an HTM 2022-compliant installation.

Vertical Or Horizontal Configuration

The standard VT150 uses a 50-litre vertical receiver to reduce the amount of floor space required.

Where a horizontal configuration is better suited to the available plant room or installation area, the compressor can be supplied as a bespoke Bambi VTH model.

Compliance And Quality Testing

The VT150 is designed, built and quality tested in Britain.

Bambi Air Ltd is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for its Quality Management System. The compressor is UKCA and CE marked and has been externally tested by TÜV SÜD.

The VT150 sits above the 250 bar-litre PSSR threshold. The installation may therefore require a Written Scheme of Examination under the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000.
