The MELAG MELAtherm 20 Washer-Disinfector is a high-capacity instrument reprocessing solution designed for busy dental practices, specialist clinics and high-volume healthcare environments. Built in an XXL format, it combines a larger washing chamber with powerful cleaning technology, intelligent controls and integrated documentation.
With capacity for up to 90 patients’ instruments per cycle, the MELAtherm 20 helps practices process more instruments efficiently while maintaining reliable cleaning and disinfection standards. AquaBoost Technology and a triple rinse arm system deliver up to 63% improved cleaning performance compared with the MELAtherm 10 Evolution, while passiveDRY or activeDRY drying options help support safe, efficient workflows.
The MELAtherm 20 has been developed for practices with demanding instrument reprocessing requirements.
Its larger washing chamber provides up to 24 Flex segments across the upper and lower baskets, allowing instruments for up to 90 patients to be processed in a single cycle.
This makes it a strong choice for multi-surgery practices, specialist clinics and high-throughput environments.

The MELAtherm 20 is available with either activeDRY or passiveDRY drying systems.
The passiveDRY system automatically opens the door after each programme, allowing air drying to begin while helping reduce corrosion risk and energy use.
This supports safer instrument handling and efficient turnaround between cycles.
The large Smart-Touch Display gives users clear, intuitive control over daily operation.
From selecting programmes to managing batch approval, the interface is designed to make routine use simple for busy clinical teams.
Integrated documentation allows records to be exported via USB or network connection.
ProControl supports digital batch approval and user authentication, helping practices maintain traceability and streamline compliance processes without additional software.
The MELAtherm 20 is compatible with more than 90 baskets, adapters and racks, allowing practices to configure the system around their instrument sets and workflow.
Optional accessories include the Cleanfinity Pro self-cleaning central filter, MediaGuard storage system, MELAstore Wash Tray System, MELAdem 53 water treatment unit and MELAcontrol Wash Check.
Despite its increased capacity, the MELAtherm 20 is designed to fit beneath a 60cm worktop.
Available in 230 V and 400 V versions, it can be specified to suit your practice setup and volume requirements.
