Description

Performance and Versatility

The MC3 offers a wide speed range of 60 to 40,000 rpm, making it suitable for a variety of procedures including restorative and prophylaxis treatments.

Its smooth, vibration-free operation sets it apart as a dependable workhorse in any dental practice.

Micro-Series Upgrade

Bien-Air’s Micro-Series micromotors are up to 30 percent shorter and 23 percent lighter than traditional designs.

This compact format provides a better grip, improved maneuverability and reduced fatigue in the hand, arm and shoulder during long procedures.

Brush Micromotor Operation

Electric brush micromotors use a rotor-stator system where carbon brushes on the stator supply current to rotor coils, creating rotation.

Though effective, this design requires regular maintenance as brushes wear out every 18–24 months and carbon dust can reduce bearing life.

These motors can also create electronic interference and cannot be sterilised due to their carbon components.

Maintenance and Hygiene Considerations

The mechanical complexity of brush motors means parts like the rotor and brushes are subject to wear.

Carbon brushes are not washable or sterilisable, limiting hygiene protocols compared to brushless options.

However, the MC3 is engineered for consistent performance over time with proper care.
