New Lavender House 3 Surgery Refurbishment

The New Lavender House Dental Surgery, located in North Cheam, has been a cornerstone of the local community since the early 1900s.

Dr Harvey assumed ownership of the practice in 2006, continuing its tradition of providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.

The surgery prides itself on delivering personalised treatment tailored to the unique needs of each patient, whether they are NHS or private.

The practice offers a broad spectrum of services, from general dentistry to advanced cosmetic procedures.

Solution

The project involved the refurbishment of three surgeries within the practice, which had not seen any significant upgrades since the 1970s.

The scope of work included a complete overhaul of the surgeries, encompassing the electrics, plumbing, flooring, plastering and decorating.

Additionally, the refurbishment featured the installation of air conditioning systems and Yale light fittings to enhance the comfort and functionality of the spaces.

The project was initially planned to refurbish two surgeries; however, the client decided to extend the refurbishment to the third surgery as well, once they saw the progress.

During the renovation of one of the surgeries, damp and rotten floorboards were discovered, necessitating additional remedial work.

Despite this unforeseen challenge, the project remained on schedule.

A standout feature of the refurbishment is the integration of solid surface window sills that match the worktops, adding a cohesive and modern touch to the surgeries.
