An empty first-floor space was transformed into two fully equipped dental surgeries, expanding treatment capacity for a growing Kent practice.

Starlite Dental in Ashford, Kent provides a wide range of treatments, including general dentistry, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and facial aesthetics.
As demand for services continued to grow, the practice identified an opportunity to expand its clinical capacity by converting an unused upstairs area into additional treatment rooms.
The project involved creating two new surgeries from a single open-plan space.
To minimise disruption to the practice, the works were carefully planned and delivered in two phases, allowing the team to continue providing patient care throughout the expansion.

The project began with the construction of a new stud partition wall to divide the vacant upstairs room into Surgery 2 and Surgery 3.
Insulation and lead lining were incorporated into the partition, and a new doorway was created to provide access to the additional surgery.
Electrical and plumbing services were installed and adapted to support the new surgery layouts, including new sockets, chair services and sinks.
Clinical-grade Gerflor Metalica flooring was installed throughout, while decorating works and new LED surgery lighting completed the spaces. Custom Limelight dental cabinetry was fitted in both surgeries, featuring 12mm Glacier White Corian worktops, cappings and integral sinks.

The completed project has successfully increased the practice’s treatment capacity by transforming an unused area into two modern, fully equipped surgeries. The phased approach minimised disruption while enabling the practice to expand efficiently.
With new Belmont treatment centres, integrated imaging technology, bespoke cabinetry and upgraded infrastructure, Starlite Dental now has additional clinical space to support continued growth and deliver high-quality care across its expanding range of treatments.
