A former restaurant in Lee, South-East London was transformed into a modern dental practice, creating two surgeries and a decontamination room.
Dentartistry in Lee, South-East London represents the next chapter of a practice with roots stretching back to 1984. Originally established as D. H. Keen Dental Surgery, the practice has provided high-quality dental care to generations of local families while building a reputation for trusted, community-focused dentistry.
Today, under the leadership of Dr R. S. Raajanathan, the practice is evolving as Dentartistry, combining its established heritage with a modern approach to patient care. Advanced technologies, innovative treatment techniques and a focus on patient comfort sit at the heart of the practice’s vision.
Having previously worked with Dr Raajanathan on the refurbishment of D.H. Keen in 2020, we were appointed to support this latest expansion project. The opportunity involved converting a former restaurant into a fully functioning dental practice, creating two surgeries and a dedicated decontamination room to support the next stage of the practice’s growth.
Working alongside the client’s appointed builders, we provided guidance on surgery layouts, equipment selection and decontamination workflows to help create an efficient and compliant clinical environment.
Particular attention was given to ensuring smooth clinical workflows, maximising the available space and creating a consistent patient experience throughout the practice.
Custom Limelight dental cabinetry was installed throughout the surgeries and decontamination room. The decontamination area featured Glacier White Corian worktops and bowls, while the surgeries were fitted with Durasein solid surface worktops and Corian bowls, providing durable and hygienic surfaces suitable for busy clinical environments.
The completed installation transformed the former restaurant into a modern dental facility equipped to support a wide range of treatments, from routine dentistry through to advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures.

With advanced Belmont treatment centres, digital imaging systems, dedicated decontamination facilities and carefully planned cabinetry, the practice now has the infrastructure needed to support efficient workflows, patient comfort and long-term growth.
