Parkside Dental Practice is a well-established and highly professional surgery with a particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr Parveen Sehmi leads a caring and gentle team, dedicated to the provision of high quality dentistry and aiming to offer their patients the most up to date techniques whilst maintaining a gentle and relaxed atmosphere.
Dr Parveen Sehmi was looking for a supplier to refurbish both of their surgeries and create a compliant decontamination room. He wanted to maintain the gentle and relaxed atmosphere with modern and compliant rooms that are ergonomic to work in and display professionalism to the patients.
Eclipse Dental was chosen because of experience with our engineers over many years and also from recommendations from colleagues who had used Eclipse for refurbishments in other local practices.
The surgeries where completely renewed by re-plastering and painting the timber ceilings giving a fresh new look. New cabinetry was designed to house the specialist equipment and this was complimented by a wood effect vinyl flooring that looks like wood but is compliant and easy to maintain. The lighting was reconfigured and Zenith LED lightings added to give a daylight clinical light. This means they can switch between warm lighting and clinical lighting, or a mix of both. The Sirona chairs were removed from the room and re-installed after the refurbishment.
A larger decontamination room was created by removing a wall between the existing room and using an adjacent room, allowing a dirty to clean flow with hand wash and wash & rinse sinks. A Kinetico Reverse Osmosis system was fitted to provide dental quality water conveniently on tap for the chairs and autoclaves.
The project was carefully planned and project managed and the end result exceeded all expectations.
